THIS SONG IS PLAYED ON A FRETLESS WAL BASS!

This song is played classical style on the intro. Thumb on the a string, index on the high d,and
middle on the g string. FOr the chord in the beginning part you pluck upwards with both fingers together.
He keeps his pick in his mouth and plays parts of the song with the pick!

Place pick in mouth. :)

These next parts are played regular finger style

(5:39-6:23)  Justin uses a raking technique here. The part is the middle of the riff
he keeps the 5th fret g fretted with his index and his ring finger on the 7th fret d.
You quickly pluck (or rake) up with your index (or middle) plucking finger through the g and d strings
so that you are not quite playing a chord but the two notes in sequence quickly. This is a tricky riff. Lots of
practice!

TAKE YOUR PICK OUT FOR THE REST OF THE SONG AND ROCK OUT!!!

(8:20-8:36) Justin plays the same funky riff from above with his pick! It is so hard to hear on the album
because Adam plays something completely different but I saw it live with my own eyes. This is by far the hardest
riff in the song because you cannot just follow Danny's drum beat like the riff above. This will take some practice because it
is CRAZY OFF TIME! I suggest you close your eyes and only think of this riff. Very cool. =)
